• Voluntary
• Informal
• Focused on activities
• No data analysis
• Includes no budget information
• Includes no evaluation information

Superintendent oversight is required if the report is or includes any of the following:

• Required by grant or project
• Formal, may have a specific form
• Focused on results
• Includes data analysis
• Includes budget information
• Includes evaluation information
• Includes recommendations
