Office of College and Career Readiness

  • The Office of College and Career Readiness (OCCR) works to encourage SPPS students of all ages to understand that preparation for greatness in college, career, and/or community is achievable with the right planning, preparation, support, and accountability. SPPS students benefit from our strong school counseling program, the creation of personal learning plans (PLPs), a wide array of post-secondary partnerships and invaluable opportunities allowing them to explore career and technical education.

    Students document their interests, strengths, & values and connect those to course taking plans, career development activities, and career and postsecondary education aspirations. 

     

Career Pathway Centers

  • Career Pathway Centers are managed by SPPS counselors and Achieve Twin Cities coordinators. Students can get help on planning for after high school by connecting with the Career Pathway Center coordinator or counselor at their high school. The Career Pathway Center website has resources to help students explore career paths, apply for college and financial aid, find internships, and more!

ACT Test Prep

    • Methodize is a self-paced online ACT test prep program available through Xello. Students can access Methodize directly from their Xello account.

      1. Open the Clever app or go to www.clever.com/in/SPPS
      2. Click 'Log in with Active Directory'.
      3. Enter your Active Directory username and password.
      4. Click on the Xello app.
      5. In the ‘Links & Resources’ section, select ‘Methodize’. The program will open in a new tab.
