iPads Going Home

  • The Office of Teaching and Learning and Technology Services recommends ALL students take their iPad home and bring it back to school daily. This practice promotes student ownership and digital citizenship practices. It also ensures all students have their iPad as a learning resource for homework, planned digital learning days, e-learning days for inclement weather or in the event of an emergency. iPads should be transported safely in a backpack and charged at home each night. Families can request their student’s iPad remain at school for safety, security or personal preference. Speak to your child’s teacher or school administrator for additional information.

Some schools may modify student and family expectations of taking iPads home each night. Contact your student’s teacher or principal for more information. If students are not taking devices home each night, it remains critical that students have access to their iPad and technology for planned digital learning days, e-learning days, inclement weather or in the event of an emergency.
