Welcome to Focus Beyond

Focus Beyond Transition Services works with young adults aged 18-22 who have unmet transition related special education needs. Teachers, specialists, and community partners work closely with students to help them gain the skills necessary for employment, post-secondary and training opportunities, and independent living. Our program offers vocational training labs, community-based settings, and on-site seminars covering employment, independent living, communication safety, self-advocacy, and career planning. Community-based activities

Community-based activities play a huge role in the learning and skills development of students at Focus Beyond. These activities include work-based learning, travel instruction, recreation/leisure activities, community awareness, and independent living activities.

Work-based Learning

Work-based learning (WBL) is an educational approach that combines classroom instruction with practical work experience. At Focus Beyond, we offer a diverse range of Work Based Learning opportunities, including over 20 community-based worksites.
