    Current 5th grade families interested in a daytime tour of Highland Park Middle School will be able to do so on one of the dates below.  Tours run from 8:45-9:30am.   Registration is required for this event.  Click  HERE to register for a school tour. Highland Park Middle School does not offer a student shadow option.

    Teaming is generally considered the heart and soul of the middle school model. Highland Park Middle implements core subject teaming that consists of four teachers who share a group of students.

    From athletics to Lego Leagues, HPMS is proud of the many after school activities that are provided. These programs are meant to offer students an opportunity to engage in activities they have interests in.

  • Principal Andrastek

    John Andrastek has been honored to serve as the principal at Highland Park Middle School (HPMS) since 2022 and served as assistant principal at HPMS for 5 years prior to that. He has been with Saint Paul Public Schools in various leadership positions since 2005. Prior to his leadership roles, Principal Andrastek, or "Mr. A.," was a classroom teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools for 10 years.
