About our library media center....

The Highland Park Middle School Media Center welcomes students and staff members every school day from 8:15 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  The Media Center includes a wide variety of books, both fiction and nonfiction, to meet the needs of our students.  We also have a collection of books in Spanish.  

To encourage recreational reading, all students are scheduled to come to the Media Center every two weeks with their English classes for book checkout sessions throughout the school year. The Media Center is also scheduled by teachers for class research purposes.  The combination of up-to-date books and our access to a wide range of resources through both the Saint Paul Public Schools and the Saint Paul Public Library provides students with optimum materials for success in their research work.

Students can easily access the online catalog using the Destiny app on their iPads.  They may also access it from any computer or device that has internet access by entering sppsk12.follettdestiny.com/ in the address bar.  Students may log into the catalog system using their school login, which is their student number (preceded by an "s") and their Active Directory password, the same mixture of letters and numbers they use to sign into Schoology or their SPPS email accounts.  Once logged in, students may place books on hold, write reviews for books they have read, or review their library account information.
