    Flipside combines learning and fun afterschool! 

    Welcome to the 2023-2024 Flipside year! Every school offers a wide variety of FREE, high-quality and engaging afterschool programs for youth, based on their interests and school needs. The program is designed to help youth develop a greater sense of belonging as well as introduce youth to new skills.
     
    Program will run October 9, 2023-May 9, 2024, with new winter activities beginning on January 29th. Visit your school website for specific dates for your program.
     
    In addition to our afterschool program, we also have a college and career field trip program called Teenventure. Separate registration is available 3-4 weeks prior to each trip. At the end of this registration form, you can request to be added to the list to receive registration.

Program Details

  • For Youth Grades 6-8

    Classes are combined in the following two ways:  Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
    Between 3-5 p.m.

    Flipside is an after-school program that partners with SPPS Extended Day Learning program and offers enrichment classes in art, science, technology, health, fitness and culture for youth to discover their interests and talents, while setting the conditions to empower youth, nurture and amplify their voices, and create a space where they can experience belonging at school, thrive academically, develop lifelong skills, and shape their future with confidence.   There are over 15 after-school classes students can choose from and many other opportunities available to get involved.  
    Classes run Mon/Weds or Tues/Thurs. from 3:00-5:00 p.m.  The program is a free program and bussing after Flipside is provided.  
    *If a student is in sports or plans to be in sports, they can also get bussing, but they have to fill out a form to request it. 
     
    Registration for the Flipside Winter/Spring after-school program starts now and goes through January 12, 2024.  Registration forms can be found in the office, with Ms. Nikol in room 1409, on the Flipside website, or through our online registration found at this link:
