Photo above: The ELL department consists of Ms. Pradas, Ms. Carroll, Ms. Juhlke and Ms. Filipiak.

Ms. Pradas, Ms. Filipiak and Ms. Carroll teach ELD-  Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.  In these classes, they teach students the advanced academic reading and writing skills that will enable them to exit out of EL and be successful in the mainstream curriculum without English Language Learner support. 

The EL department teachers carefully follow the WIDA Standards and the Common Core Standards for grades 6, 7 & 8 which include standards for reading, writing, speaking,  listening, and viewing.

El departamento de ELL consiste de Sra. Pradas, Sra. Filipiak y la Sra. Carroll.

Las Sra. Pradas, Sra. Filipiak y Sra. Carroll dan la clase de ELD- leer, escribir, escuchar y hablar. En estas clases les enseñan a los estudiantes las habilidades academicas avanzadas de leer y escribir que les permitirán salir del programa EL y tener éxito en el currículo regular sin el apoyo de los Servicios de Aprendices de inglés (ELL).

Las maestras del departmento de EL siguen cuidadosamente los estánderes de WIDA y los estáderes "Common Core" para los grados 6, 7 y 8, los cuales incluyen estánderes para leer, escribir, hablar, escuchar y mirar.
