¡Hola! Soy Daniel Bettino, profesor en el Departamento de Estudios Sociales en el Programa de Inmersión al Español aquí en Highland Park Middle School. Empecé a enseñar aquí en Highland en 2011 y he disfrutado muchísimo mi experiencia.  Los idiomas y los estudios sociales son unas de mis pasiones y estoy comprometido a seguir trabajando aquí en el Programa de Inmersión al Español.  Creo que este programa de inmersión es uno de los mejores que existe.  Siempre estoy listo para avanzar en nuestra misión adelante. Una parte de este trabajo es preparar a nuestros alumnos para ser ciudadanos globales quienes puedan participar en este mundo tanto en español como en inglés.  No solo hablar estos dos idiomas, pero trabajar en un ambiento académico, profesional y económico.

Me encanta enseñar y aprender, cada día mis alumnos me enseñan bastante. Una parte fundamental en mi estilo de enseñar tiene su base en establecer buenas relaciones con mis alumnos.  Siempre quiero conocer a ellos personalmente, sobre sus historias y experiencias, ya que eso me ayuda entender como guiarlos mejor y siempre aprendo mucho en el proceso.   

Aparte de enseñar, me gusta pasar tiempo con mi familia, mis amigos y también me agrada viajar.  ¡La vida es una aventura!  Yo vivo en South Minneapolis donde monto mi bicicleta mucho y paso tiempo en nuestros parques.

 Hello!  I am Daniel Bettino and I am a teacher in the Social Studies Department in the Spanish Immersion program here at Highland Park Middle School. I started teaching here at Highland in 2011 and I have really enjoyed my experience.  Languages and social studies are two of my passions and I am committed to keep working here in the Spanish Immersion Program. I believe that this is one of the best immersion programs that exists.  I am always ready to advance our mission forward.  One part of this work is preparing our students to be global citizens that can participate in both Spanish and English.  Not just speak theses two languages, put work in an academic, professional and economic environment. 

I love teaching and learning.  Each day my students teach me quite a bit.  A fundamental part of my teaching style has its base in establishing good relationships with my students.  I always want to know them personally, to know their stories and experiences.  This helps me understand how to guide them better and I always learn a lot in the process. 

Apart from teaching I love to spend time with my family and friends.  Also I like traveling.  Life is an adventure!  I live in South Minneapolis where I ride my bike a lot and spend time in our parks.
