Bienvenidos a la Clase de Ciencias! Hola Estudiantes y Familias! Me llamo Amanda Sell y soy la maestra de ciencias. Enseño la clase de ciencias naturales (El equipo de los Pumas) y la clase electiva de ingeniería con los estudiantes de sexto grado. Llevo once y medio años enseñando en Highland Park Middle y me gusta mucho mi trabajo. Espero que tengamos un año maravilloso. Espero que las ciencias sean divertidas, emocionantes y desafiantes.  En la clase de ciencias vamos a tener un ambiente que va a estimular a los estudiantes pensar creativamente y "fuera de la caja."  Los estudiantes van a interactuar con muchos de sus compañeros por trabajar en grupo y en los laboratorios. Me encanta enseñar, viajar, cocinar, pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos y yo me considero un estudiante de toda la vida. ¡Vamos Pumas! ¡Tengo ganas de trabajar con usted y su niño!

Welcome to Science Class! Hello Students and Families! My name is Amanda Sell and I am a science teacher here at Highland Park Middle School. This year I will be teaching Earth Science for the 6th Grade Spanish Immersion Team (Los Pumas), and I will also be teaching the Exploring Engineering Elective course. I have worked at Highland Park for the last eleven and a half years, and I love my job. We have a wonderful family here at HPMS of students, staff, and community members. I am really looking forward to this year. I hope that science is fun, challenging, and engaging. In science this year, I hope to create an environment that encourages students to think outside of the box. Students will interact with a diverse population of their peers through group work, laboratories, and hands-on exploration. I am passionate about science as well as driving my students to work hard, and "be their best selves." Outside of science, I love traveling, learning and experiencing new cultures, cooking, reading, spending time with my family and friends, and I will always consider myself to be a lifelong learner. Go Pumas! I look forward to working with you and your student :)
