Why Aerospace?

Our program engages a child’s imagination with the exciting endeavor of human flight. Students learn to value teamwork when solving complex problems. They experiment, present their ideas, gain confidence and become leaders.

Flight Simulator Lab

Students at Farnsworth Aerospace have high expectations for each other. With our state-of-the-art flight simulators, those expectations feel real. At 2,000 feet, there are no excuses, their team is depending on them. In 2021, our flight sim labs was fully updated with virtual reality film simulator systems.

Space Camp

Each fall, Farnsworth sixth-graders are eligible for one of our most exciting field trips. A trip that will challenge them physically and mentally. An experience that will expose them to a host of engineering and aerospace technology careers.

OUR PRINCIPAL

Dr. Tidwell, an experienced educator, has served as an assistant administrator and athletic director at Valley Middle School of STEM in Independent School District 196 for the past nine years. With a strong focus on inclusivity, he strives to ensure that every student feels valued and accepted. Dr. Tidwell looks forward to collaborating with families, students, staff, and the community to continue the exceptional work at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper Campus.
