Highlights of Units of Study and Field Trips in Fifth Grade:

• Online research of notable African-American people and presenting at the African-American Heritage Festival.
• Learning about different biomes in Minnesota and spending a day at Valley Branch Nature Center.
• Conducting surveys and using multiple methods of displaying data.
• Studying the Hmong culture, costumes and creating Hmong people in their authentic costumes for decoration of the Hmong New Year.
