Hello Farnsworth community!  I am happy to be teaching and learning with all of you.  I began teaching in 2001 and spent many years teaching high school English and Reading Intervention classes.  I started teaching 6th grade ELA (Reader's and Writer's Workshop) at Farnsworth in 2019.  I love working with middle school students, encouraging them to dig deep into their stories and their minds to make real-life connections.  Farnsworth is an amazing community that has embraced me and made me feel like I belong!

At home, I am busy chasing after my three sons, Rory, Felix and Crosby, with my wife, Kindra (who is also an English teacher at Stillwater High School).  I also love watching movies, playing tennis, reading books about movies and music, and listening to podcasts/audiobooks.  

I love the North Shore of Minnesota, going to live music in the Twin Cities and watching horror films with my older brother (my wife Kindra refuses to watch scary movies!). 

This school year I am excited about teaching 6th grade Reader's and Writer's Workshop!  Looking forward to learning and growing with all of you this year.
