Hello, my name is Kaylee Wiegand, and I love teaching science at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper 5-8, Home of Future Leaders. Students at our school ask such great questions, and solve problems creatively. My goal every year is to get students excited about science and to see themselves as scientists.

I am married and have 4 cats. I love being outside and exploring nature. I also enjoy gardening and watching the Minnesota Twins.

I grew up in St Paul. It will always be my home, even though I live in northeast Minneapolis currently. I went to EXPO Elementary, Randolph Heights Elementary, Highland Middle School, and Highland High School.

I have been teaching in Minnesota since 2015. I started teaching at Farnsworth in 2018. I teach 7th grade life science.

I was a field biologist before I became a science teacher. Most of my research involved birds.
