Hello!  My name is Jason Shantz.  I have been in the teaching profession for 28 years!  I taught 7-12 Social Studies for three years at Fisher, Minnesota and Physical Education and Health at the Blake School in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 20 years. In January of 2020, I started teaching 7/8 grade Health and 6-8 Lifelong Fitness at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper School and will be teaching those courses again for the 2023-24 school year.

In my spare time, I try to enjoy the outdoors, whether it’s fishing, hiking, biking, boating or going for a walk with friends and family. I am engaged and have one 17-year-old son who is a 12th grader this year.  I enjoy watching him play soccer for his club and school teams.

Farnsworth is a wonderful place to build a community among teachers, administrators, students and parents.
