Mr. Thor is a bilingual educator and brings a wealth of experience in helping all students feel represented and accepted for who they are. He has served Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) for 22 years as a bilingual educator, classroom teacher, administrative intern, and most recently, as assistant principal for Hazel Park Preparatory Academy. Mr. Thor understands the importance of collaborating with staff and families and embracing the unique gifts that each student brings. 

Mr. Thor looks forward to partnering with families, students, staff and the community to continue the great work at Jackson Elementary School.

Mr. Thor has excellent academic qualifications with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Concordia University, a Master of Arts degree in educational leadership from Concordia University and an education administration licensure from Minnesota State University - Mankato.
