Ms. Haley
  • Hello!

My name is Ms. Haley and I am the school counselor at Jackson Elementary. I love being a part of the Jackson community; it is an honor to work with students and families every day. I went to the College of Saint Benedict for my undergraduate degree and received my masters' degree in Counseling Education from the University of Minnesota. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing games, reading, making crafts and enjoying time with my family and friends. In my role as a school counselor, I work to support students in the areas of social emotional development, career exploration, and academic achievement. I lead classroom lessons, work with students in small groups, and meet with students individually as needed. My hope is that all students feel connected, supported, and valued in their journey as learners here at Jackson.

Students, I am here to help you with:

    • Developing new friendships and working out conflicts
    • Setting goals and learning how to make decisions
    • Learning problem-solving skills
    • Adjusting to a new school
    • Managing your feelings
    • Dealing with peer pressure and bullying
    • Academic support including organization skills, study & test-taking skills
    • Discovering your skills and interests

Parents, I am able to assist you with:

    • Exploring ways to help your child succeed
    • Referrals for community resources
    • Understanding developmental changes in childhood
    • Planning ahead for your child's educational future

Please contact me with any questions or concerns, or if you feel that your student could use some additional support in these areas.
