My name is Maria Patera and I am the school nurse. I joined the Farnsworth Family in Fall 2021! I live in Saint Paul with my husband and 3 children. I have been a nurse since 2007 in many areas such as Cardiac, Orthopedics, Neuro/Plastics, Dementia/Alzheimer’s around the US as well as a Public Health RN while stationed overseas. School Nursing was a natural fit. Being a part of preventative medicine for your student and helping families advocate for their needs is rewarding to be a part of.

I graduated from University of North Dakota with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. As well as a Bachelors of Education in Rehabilitation and Human Services. All this means is that I am a people person and am invested in our community. As always, text or call and we can discuss the best plan for your student.
