I am proud to serve as principal at Highland Park Middle School! 

We have been working diligently to create a strong sense of community.  Students are assigned to a team of teachers for their core classes and many activities are centered around this small community.  We are excited to again use the transition program called Where Everybody Belongs (WEB).   Our eighth graders are our WEB Leaders and have done an outstanding job assisting our new students get used to the junior high life.  

We are an accredited International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program site. This program allows us to vertically plan with the senior high as the MYP includes grades 6-10. MYP is inquiry based and an internationally-minded approach to learning. 

On behalf of our entire staff, we are extremely excited to have the sixth graders join us!  The seventh graders have had a very smooth transition and the eighth graders are showing great leadership.

We look forward to a wonderful school year.  We are happy to have you as part of our Highland Complex!
