Promoting the Well-Being of all Saint Paul Public Schools

  • Saint Paul Public Schools Wellness Policy 533.00 has its roots in the 2004 Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act.

SPPS Wellness Department is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the community. By creating an environment that promotes and supports healthy lifestyles, SPPS recognizes the many benefits that come from leading healthy lives. Not only does making healthy life choices affect our overall wellbeing, it aids in the learning process and creates a positive working environment.

Wellness Policy 533.00 has recently been revised, to better align with the 2016 changes made to the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. The policy had its third reading before the School Board during the December 2017 meeting, accompanied by a brief report on areas of focus highlights.
