Teacher's Corner

  • We are very excited to welcome you and your class to Belwin Outdoor Science. We invite you to explore this page to...

    • Learn what logistical things need to be done before your visit.
    • Check out Pre and Post-Trip lessons that you can do in the classroom via Google Meet, Schoology or Seesaw.
    • Register for the classes that you select for your visit.

Before Your Visit

  • As a classroom teacher you have 3 important tasks to address in preparation for your trip to Belwin Outdoor Science.

    1. Use curriculum to prepare students. When classroom teachers make curriculum connections the learning process is more meaningful.
    2. Organize the mechanics of the trip (described below).
    3. Accompany students in their outdoor learning.

Pre/Post Lessons

  • Consider a pre-trip Google Meet Visit or pre-trip lesson via Schoology or Seesaw! It helps your students get the MOST out of their Belwin field trip (and it helps reduce their anxiety around a nature-immersion field trip, a new experience for many of our young scholars).
