The Pre-Algebra Accelerated course follows the same basic curriculum, in an enhanced manner, as the regular Pre-Algebra course. In this class, you will learn about and explore topics including integers, order of operations, algebraic expressions, one and two-step equations, proportions, percents, probability, geometry, and linear equations. Enhancements include completing various activities and learning concepts designed to challenge and deepen mathematical understanding. These skills learned will serve as the basic foundation of supporting your mathematics learning throughout high school and college. You will learn by direct instruction, cooperative groups, work with manipulatives, use of calculators, and formula sheets. This course prepares students to be prepared for Accelerated Algebra in the 8th grade.
