My name is Cheryl Johnson (Cherie) and I am the 9th/10^{th grade} English Language Development reading

teacher at Washington. This is my 11th year at Washington but I have taught in an Educational capacity in the

U.S. for 19 years as well as internationally in Rwanda, Pakistan, and Kenya for more than 20 years.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with Daycare/Preschool/Kindergarten certifications.

I also earned a K-12 English Second Language endorsement from Hamline University and my MA in

Education with a K-12 Reading endorsement from Concordia University.

 In my English Language Development Reading class we will focus on building English reading skills

so that each student will acquire the tools to be lifelong readers. Come join me on this incredible journey!

 I currently live in Woodbury. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, camping,

biking, fishing, cooking, reading and being outside.
