• You have reached Señor Courtney's Spanish website. Here in Washingron Technology Magnet we have Spanish 1, 2 3 and 4. Normally the Spanish 3 and 4 classes are together.

I have been teaching Spanish since 1994 and I am also a Math and French teacher as well.

In Washington I arrived here in 2012 and I am teaching full time Spanish.

An interesting fact about me as a Spanish teacher is that I have visited every Spanish speaking country in the world except for Equatorial New Guinea.

Native Spanish speakers are always welcome to take my class starting in 10th grade in my Spanish 3/4 class. And I can help you get ready for the Seal of Biliteracy test which earns you college credits in MN state schools by showing that you can speak, listen, write and read in your home language.

In all of my classes we focus on speaking the language - so as you reach fluency your speaking skill will be always be a part of my Spanish classes.

As I update this in 2019 we are planning our second trip to Costa Rica. Our last trip was in 2017-- so I plan to do this trip every 3 years ( our trip this year is in April of 2020). And our next trip is tentaively for 2023. We stay with host families, take classes in the morning and do funthings like ziplining , kayaking , and horseback riding in the afternoons.
