Hello, beautiful souls! I'm Jenny Helgason, and I'm absolutely

 thrilled to be a part of the Washington Technology Magnet School team.

 I've been with Saint Paul Schools for 18 years and have spent the last 11 years

 teaching Reading here at Washington.

**A Glimpse into My Life:**

When I'm not at school, I like to explore new places and try new experiences with loved ones or alone. Laughter is a must, and one way I find it is through funny Tik Toks, particularly those that feature adorable dogs. I enjoy captivating books, especially when it's a memoir that allows me to glimpse into someone else's journey. Additionally, I'm actively engaged in Church activities, where I find purpose and community outside of school.

**Surprising Fact:**

Here's something that might surprise you: I grew up right here in Saint Paul and graduated from Central High School (a long time ago)! My journey in education then continued on to the University of St. Thomas. I've had the privilege of teaching students from kindergarten all the way to college.

**Learning Together:**

I am better because of Washington students. What amazes me most is not just what I impart, but what I learn from each of you. Your stories and perspectives inspire me every day. When you graduate, I'd love to treat you to a cup of coffee and hear more about your journey!
