  •  Rachael Ray This is my 22nd year as a Family and Consumer Science (FACS)   and in my 10th year at Washington Technology Magnet, and I love it here!  My home is in Spring Valley, WI where I like to garden, and I am a Master Canner, so I love to preserve all the great food I grow.  I love to swim and being out in the country. I also enjoy working in the city it helps me balance out all the great things the city offers.

I believe education is life long, so I have studied in small colleges and large universities.  I started my education at Lakewood (Century College) where, I studied music and social work, St. Paul College, University of MN, and University of WI Stout where I have received degrees in Dietetic and Family Consumer Science, certifications in chemistry, hotel and restaurant cookery, master work in career and technology education, as well as guidance and counseling.  I worked for Health East, Metropolitan-Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Hennepin County WIC.  What does this all mean?  Family Consumer Science is a great fit, because you have to know a lot to teach FACS.
