My name is Deana Venturi and this is my 10^th year teaching at Washington Technology Magnet School. I am part of our English Language Learner Department   and teach English to students who are new to the United States. My students are respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. They come from many countries   and speak different languages.

 I graduated from Saint Mary’s College in California with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Government and a minor in Spanish. I later graduated from Teachers College,   Columbia University with a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. This is my 20th year teaching with Saint Paul Public   Schools.

 When I am not teaching English, I love to travel to different countries and learn new languages. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, going to plays, and   being outdoors.
