Bonjour!

Je m'appelle Madame Daniel and I teach both French and Spanish here at Washington. I grew up in Richfield and studied French at Northern Illinois University and received my B.A. in 1994. I returned to Minnesota and finished my Spanish licensure at the University of Minnesota in 2001 as I was teaching in various districts. I have been teaching since 1994 in Illinois, Minnesota and a year in Florida.

I have travelled to France, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Brazil. I love to dance West Coast Swing but also learned to dance Bachata, Samba, Zouk, Salsa, Cumbia, East Coast Swing and want to improve my dancing skills. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my niece and twin nephews.

In French, students will have fun learning with stories, songs, games, dances, videos and audios, projects and field trips to Concordia Language Villages or a French Restaurant or Festival of Nations.  They will do some food tasting and have a which enables students to participate in an authentic cultural experience of the target language and culture.

Students will use technology to create projects, such as a cartoon using digital cameras and ComicLife.
