       Mrs. Glas

Mrs. Glas has been an ELA teacher at Washington Technology Magnet for 18 years. She has taught 8th grade English, 6th grade Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop, and currently teaches 7th grade Accelerated English, Reader’s Workshop, and Writer's Workshop. She enjoys the diversity at Washington and teaching her students.

She originally wanted to be an Occupational Therapist, but through volunteering at Shriners Hospital she learned that she enjoyed being with kids but not at a hospital. So, she left St Catherine University and went to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities to get her teaching degree. She has a license in K-6 Elementary Education and 5-8 Communication Arts and Literature. She also earned her Master in Education. Switching to education was one of the best decisions of her life.

When she's not at work, she is home with her family. Her husband is also a middle school teacher. Aren't her kids lucky?! Her son just started high school and her daughter is in 4th grade. If she's not at a basketball tournament or gymnastic meet, she is spending her time reading or cooking.

If you need to get ahold of her the best method is email: erin.glas@spps.org. She usually can get back to you within 24 hours. She is looking forward to another great year at Washington!

    ~ Sincerely,

    Mrs. Glas
