What words of advice would you give incoming freshman?
Find an activity that you love to do, and pour your heart into it. Choose not based on what you think you should do, but what you want to do. You will be happier, have more fun, and likely be more successful.

I would urge every freshman to push themselves, but without losing sight of what’s important. Good mental health is vital and in the Central’s competitive environment it is far too easy to forget that you should still enjoy yourself while getting an education.

Don't just write assignments in your planner, also write all the other "life" things that you look forward to like hanging out with friends or when a new season of your favorite netflix show comes out. This motivated me as it reminded me that my life is more than just homework.

High school is a time that everyone is trying to find out who they are, it’s useless to discover who you are through the scope of other people as they don’t know who they are yet either. The way to discover yourself is by finding who you want to be.

What you give up now will be worth it in the end. High school is a series of trade-offs and you will have more opportunities than you have time to take advantage of. But don't sweat it, prioritize the things that make you happy and keep you on the path to achieving your goals.
