Carlo Franco was elected to a 4-year term on the Saint Paul School Board beginning in January 2024.

Carlo is a proud Graduate of SPPS Humboldt High School (’13) and first-generation college graduate from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, earning his degree in Child Psychology and Leadership. He has served in many public service roles including working in our community center’s through Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, coordinating the Saint Paul Youth Commission, as a Restorative Justice & Positive School Climate Coordinator at Humboldt High School, numerous non-profits including the West Side Boosters & Neighborhood House, and currently serves as the Youth Engagement and Training Manager with the City of Saint Paul Right Track Program.

As a product of Saint Paul Public Schools, a product of Saint Paul’s West Side and as a committed youth worker and public servant, Carlo understands the needs for quality public education, preparing our youth for a thriving life post-graduation and how community centered leadership will support progress for all youth in our community. Carlo believes that it takes a village to raise our children, and we all play a critical role in the development of community and belonging that makes for a strong, thriving community.

In his free time, you can catch him recharging by watching a youth/High School sporting event, being in community, eating good food at Saint Paul local businesses and spending time with family/friends.
