Campus Instruction for Educators
-
Infinite Campus's Learning Management System is called Instruction, and recently Campus has improved their teacher-interface to streamline navigation of instructional tools within a specific section. Starting Friday, November 17th, the Classroom navigation will be enabled by default, in the meantime, teachers can enable Classroom on their own to try out the experience.
To enable Classroom, toggle the on/off switch in the top corner of the teaching center.
Once Classroom is enabled, instructional tools previously found in the left panel are scoped to one of four tabs within Classroom. The four tabs are: Classroom, Curriculum, Students, and Grades. The list in the left panel becomes noticeably shorter.
-
Classroom Tab
- This tab provides information on the course section, as well as upcoming assignments. Teachers can also select the Take Attendance button in this tab.
-
Curriculum Tab
- This tab lists all assignments/curriculum items by start date. Each item has an identifying icon. Teachers can review imported assignments, search for assignments by name, and view scoring information. Teachers can delete an assignment from this screen if needed by clicking the title.
-
Students Tab
- This tab will now house tools related to classroom administration. Items such as Roster, Advisory, Seating Chart, Lockers, and Student Groups, are included in this tab. Attendance can also be taken in this tab (alternate option is taking attendance under Classroom Tab).
-
Grades Tab
- The Grades tab will now hold tools related to scoring and and grading for sections. Gradebook and assignment overview will be under this tab. The Post Grades tool will now be under this tab.
