Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can I use the PowerSchool mobile app?
No. SPPS does not currently support the PowerSchool mobile app.
-
Why isn't my PowerSchool account active?
PowerSchool pulls all of its information from Human Resources' PeopleSoft data daily (at 6:30am). Staff must have an active status and date for their employee record in PeopleSoft to be able to login to PowerSchool. Contact your HR representative to verify you are active in PeopleSoft. Once that's done, you will usually have access the next business day.
If your HR person confirms that your employee record is properly configured and you still have no access, email powerschool@spps.org.
-
What do I do if PowerSchool lists the wrong school/building/location/name/etc., or if it doesn't show all of my direct reports?
PowerSchool gets this information from PeopleSoft as well. Contact your HR representative to request the corrections you need; once that's done, PowerSchool should show the correct information the following business day.
-
What do I do if I can't log in to PowerSchool?
PowerSchool access uses your SPPS active directory (AD) account information (i.e. eXXXXXX and its password). If you can't log in to PowerSchool, you need to reset your AD password with the assistance of the SPPS Service Desk.
-
Can presenters/facilitators receive hours for leading and planning courses?
Based on past practice, presenters don't get clock hours for presenting. We also don't give clock hours for curriculum writing or prepping for a presentation as they are not the ones doing the learning.

The minimum hour requirement for a reliensure area (MLR) is 1 hour per the Relicensure Committee.
