Class Size

  • The vast majority of classrooms at every school and every grade level across SPPS currently fall below the class size caps in the SPFE contract. In the 2023-24 school year, the average kindergarten class has 20 students, and the average high school class has 22-25 students. SPPS believes in keeping class sizes manageable without the need for strict class size caps, which negatively impact our ability to increase enrollment.
