  • Starting in the 2024-25 school year, Como Park Senior and Washington Technology Magnet High Schools will offer 3DE programming through a new partnership with Junior Achievement North.

  • 3DE SCHOOLS

3DE by Junior Achievement is an innovative high school curriculum that brings professionals from high-demand industries into the classroom for project-based learning and case studies. Through this partnership, SPPS is furthering our district goal of strengthening career-related curriculum in our high schools. These experiential learning opportunities will enhance our students’ abilities to connect what they’re doing in the classroom with real-world concepts.

Throughout the 2023-24 school year, JA North, SPPS school administration, and teachers at Como Senior and Washington will collaborate closely to prepare for the program launch.

3DE is supported with generous funding from organizations including WEM Foundation, Securian Financial, Thrivent, Cargill and Great Clips. JA North is actively identifying additional funding partners to help sustain and grow 3DE in St. Paul and beyond.

What does this mean for Como Senior and Washington students?

Beginning in fall 2024, all 9th-grade students at Como Senior and Washington High Schools will participate in the 3DE instructional model. Incoming 9th-grade students and families will learn more information about the program during the school choice season this winter.

Students will participate in project-based learning and case studies while being coached by professionals from several national and local case partners. SPPS plans to expand 3DE programming to additional grade levels within Como Senior and Washington and other district high schools in the coming years.
