Professional Development Opportunities for Co-Teaching Teams

    Co-Teaching Module1: Co-teaching Basics

    Targeted Audience: New Co-teaching partnerships or teachers new to co-teaching
    Prerequisite: Participants must attend with co-teaching partner.

    This session is recommended for new co-teaching teams and/or for teams that want to revisit strategies for developing co-teaching relationships. Topics to be covered include: Relationship Building, Roles & Responsibilities, Rituals and Routines, Co-Teaching Arrangements and various components of Lesson Delivery.
    Planning time will be embedded in the training, so participants are encouraged to bring any materials needed.

    Co-Teaching Module 2: Going Deeper

    Targeted Audience: Co-teaching teams who have co-taught together for at least one year and/or teams who want to revisit some strategies for implementing successful co-teaching.
    Prerequisite: Participants must attend with co-teaching partner.


    This session is recommended for co-teaching teams that have previously partnered and are grounded in the roles/rituals/routines of co-teaching. A review of elements from Module 1 will be completed, with greater emphasis on lesson planning. Teams will revisit the Guide for Reflective Practice, use of Reflective Learning Conversations to process co-teaching implementation, and focus on the elements of the Standards of Effective Teaching rubric. Planning time will be embedded in the training, so participants are encouraged to bring any materials needed for lesson planning.these courses.

    Co-Teaching Cohort Training

    Targeted Audience: Co-teaching teams who have established a strong relationship and want to focus on co-planning for specialized instruction.
    Pre-Requisites: Participated in either Module 1 or Module 2 Co-Teaching Training

    Cohort participants will deepen their understanding of planning, content standards and benchmarks, language demands, accomodations and modifications to differentiate and deliver specialized instruction.
