New and re-elected Board of Education members took their oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony on January 9. Newly elected members Yusef Carrillo, Carlo Franco and Erica Valliant, and re-elected member Chauntyll Allen, were sworn in. They join returning members Jim Vue, Halla Henderson and Uriah Ward on the seven-member Board of Education.
Following the ceremony, the Board elected the following officers:
- Chair: Halla Henderson
- Vice Chair: Uriah Ward
- Clerk: Erica Valliant
- Treasurer: Yusef Carrillo
The rest of the Board members will serve as directors:
- Director: Jim Vue
- Director: Carlo Franco
- Director: Chauntyll Allen
