SPPS Testifies at Virtual Field Hearing on American Rescue Plan

ST. PAUL, Minn.—Congresswoman Betty McCollum is hosting three virtual field hearings to hear testimony from leaders of Fourth Congressional District cities, counties and school districts on each entity’s use of federal pandemic relief funds from the American Rescue Plan (ARP). Saint Paul Public Schools Superintendent Joe Gothard and Board of Education Chair Jim Vue will provide testimony about how the district is planning to spend its $206.9 million allotment of ARP funds on Thursday, January 27, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Who: Saint Paul Public Schools Superintendent Joe Gothard; Board of Education Chair Jim Vue; and representatives from ISD 622 (North Saint Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale), 623 (Roseville) and 834 (Stillwater) at the invitation of U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum
