SY23-24 Hiring & Retention Bonuses for Hard-to-Fill Positions

In partnership with the Saint Paul Federation of Educators (SPFE) and Teamsters bargaining groups, Saint Paul Public Schools is offering hiring and retention bonuses for specific hard-to-fill positions for the 2023-24 school year. The first 70 special education licensed educators hired will be eligible for a $10,000 bonus, to be paid in three installments over two years. Other positions are eligible for $2,000-$4,000 in bonuses. 

Flyers for each of these bonuses are available to download/print/share here. If you know anyone who may be interested and qualified, please refer them to the SPPS Careers website at spps.org/careers. SY23-24 applicant pools for licensed positions are currently posted. Pools for non-licensed positions will be posted at a later date. If prospective applicants have questions about specific positions and eligibility for bonuses, they should contact careers@spps.org.

Each employee is only eligible for one bonus. If they meet the criteria for more than one bonus, they will receive the highest bonus. Final determination on eligibility will be made by Human Resources. Bonuses will be taxed as supplemental wages in accordance with IRS regulations.
