LCD Parents Advisory Committee

  • The general purpose of the Latino Consent Decree Parent Advisory Committee is to serve as a forum to express concerns and make recommendations pertaining to the education of Spanish-speaking students in SPPS. The LCD PAC members comprise of Latino parents, representatives of community-based organizations, and public school personnel.

    The LCD PAC functions to assist the Superintendent and the School Board by providing information and input on needs of Hispanic students in the district. LCD PAC members are responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Superintendent/Board of Education to assist them in making informed decisions regarding the education of Spanish-speaking students.

    The LCD PAC will meet 4 times per school year (September-May). Monthly meetings provide Latino parents a time to receive valuable information about topics that help them with their children's education.
