Highlands track team had their 5th meet of the season yesterday with both the boys and girls teams winning against the mighty Minneapolis Southwest. Notable performances were turned in by freshmen Gospel Simon and Luna Scorzelli, sophomore Delia Johnson, and juniors Kiyomi Callahan and Ayden Davis.

Girls’ softball game for today is cancelled. Team will still practice at 3:15 on the softball field.

Highland's track and field team opened their season against mighty Minnetonka yesterday. Notable performances were senior Josiah Christopher throwing the shot put 45 feet, junior Molly Moening running the mile in 5 minutes 8 seconds, and sophomore Terez Vaughn jumping his height in the high jump. Come out and support the Scots next Thursday at home against Central... first 250 spectators are allowed to come watch in the bleachers.

Adapted softball for those with special needs is coming up March 23rd! If you are interested, talk to special education teacher Mr. Giles in 3307, and we will help connect you with coach Mary Bohland! Adapted softball is really fun so don’t hesitate to reach out to a special education teacher with more questions! The annual Student Council Blood Drive will take place Friday, March 13. If you are 17 or 18, you may sign up to donate. If you are 16, you may donate with signed-permission. Sign-ups will take place during both lunches or in room 3211 before or after school until all spots are filled.
