This will mark my 26th year working at Highland Park! I have truly enjoyed my time at Highland and look forward to another great year.

A little about me - I played soccer in college and studied sportsmedicine/pre-med (earning a B.S.), and have done Graduate work as well, earning an MS. I no longer play soccer and have a wide variety of other interests and activities including antler shed hunting, skijoring and woodworking. I foster dogs with Can Do Canines, and you may see me with a service dog at school events. I also have a certified therapy dog. 

I am currently an IB Assistant Examiner and this insight into the IB testing world is invaluable to my students. I am assigned to mark HL Paper 2 and sometimes Team lead IA's.  This process has allowed me to collaborate with teachers from around the world and a window into the creation of the marking schemes of IB Sciences. 

This year I am teaching IB Biology Standard Level and IB Biology Higher Level. The links below provide more class details, along with support materials for students and parents. The schoology class websites contain class schedules and resources to support learning and provide opportunities for review. I believe in student responsibility and schoology will hopefully allow you to develop this responsibility.
