Hi my name is Richard Jensen. I am proud and happy to be a teacher at Highland Park Senior High School. I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. I earned a BA in History from the University of Colorado/Boulder . After service in the United States Marine Corps, I returned to school and earned a BS in History Teacher Education from Illinois State University.  In 2021, I received an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.  I have been working in education since 1989 and been a teacher in St. Paul since 1996.

I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping up with the activities of my wife and three kids.
