Beginning Ceramics: Students explore, reflect and develop skills through exploration of ceramics knowledge, application, skills, vocabulary and techniques.  “I will learn the hand-building skills needed to create ceramic objects.  I will learn the skills needed to make a cylinder on the pottery wheel.  I learn decorative techniques such as the application of slips, underglaze, and glaze.I will increase my understanding and use of Elements and Principles of Art and Design.  I will refine my own personal artistic style and expression.” Beginning Ceramics Syllabus

Advanced Ceramics: Students will continue to explore, reflect and develop skills through exploration of ceramics knowledge, application, skills, vocabulary and techniques.  “I will further develop my hand-building skills in the process of making ceramic objects.  I will further develop my skills on the pottery wheel. I will further develop my decorative techniques, such as the application of slips, underglaze, and glaze. I will increase my understanding and use of Elements and Principles of Art and Design.  I will refine my own personal artistic style and expression.” Advanced Ceramics Syllabus

Beginning Graphic Design: Students will explore, reflect and develop skills through the exploration of graphic design thinking and the elements and principles of design. Design thinking will be taught and explored throughout this class. “I will learn design techniques applying the elements and principles of Design. I will learn and apply design thinking stages. I will learn techniques for vector illustration from Adobe illustrator. I will learn to use both typography and images to create a message for a specific audience.
