Hello! My name is Carissa Franklin. I’ve lived in Minneapolis, MN all my life, born and raised on the southside of Minneapolis. I went to elementary and middle school at FAIR School Downtown and high school at DeLaSalle. I enjoyed volleyball, basketball, and track as sports during high school and continued my track & field career at University of St Thomas (UST). I graduated from the School of Social Work at the University of St Thomas for both my Bachelors ('16) and Masters degree ('20). I have previous experience in case management and social work services with Saint Paul Public Schools, Eastside Neighborhood Services, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and Face to Face Health and Counseling Services. 

The 22-23 school year will be the third school year that I've been at Highland Senior High as the General Education Social Worker. I hope to add helpful links and resources to my page as I interact more with families and students and better learn what resources are needed. I look forward to meeting you all.
