Urban Debate Meets with Governor

There was a celebration of 15 years of the Minnesota Urban Debate League which was hosted by First Lady Gwen Walz. In the seated picture, that’s the First Lady and Elsa Snowbeck book ending a panel of experts who spoke about the benefits of urban debate. In addition to meeting the First Lady and Governor Walz, Ms. Becker and Elsa got to visit with a number of state senators, school board members, and Dr. Gothard. It was a lovely evening and Elsa stood out as not only a brilliant scholar but also the funniest member of the panel. We should all be very proud of the way she represented the program as well as our school.
