The Saint Paul Public School District invited the Cultural Wellness Center to create a program to address the lack of parent involvement and student achievement among African Americans. We uncovered the systemic barriers that were preventing African Americans from participating and to raise the vision of success the parents had for their children. 

The Cultural Wellness Center helps students recognize and accept the wisdom within themselves and their communities by helping them tap into life-affirming ceremonies, rituals, practices, disciplines, and philosophies from personal cultural traditions. The Cultural Wellness Center inspires people to heal themselves and give back to their communities.
