Bachelor of Arts, French & Political Science, California Lutheran University Master of Arts in Teaching, Hamline University

Chantelle Kley

I have been happily teaching since 2005, and have been at Farnsworth since 2016. I started my career in education teaching middle school and high school French in California before spending two years teaching English as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria with my husband. When we came back to the U.S. in 2010, I went back to school to get my Master's degree at Hamline University in Saint Paul. I taught middle school special education in Minneapolis for 5 years before joining the Farnsworth family.

I love to travel, anywhere and everywhere. I have been to over 20 countries on 4 continents, and I love to learn about the people, food, language, history, and traditions in every place I visit. My other hobbies are sewing and knitting, and using natural pigments and plants to dye fabric and yarn to use in my projects. I am an experimental baker and I like to create my own recipes to test out.

I live in a little old house in Saint Paul with my husband and my two sons, along with our 100-lb dog named Dozer and a cat I handraised after I found her just a few hours after she was born. My home, like my classroom, is filled with light and noise, joy and laughter, and I couldn't be happier!
