Science Program Classrooms

Welcome to the Crossroads Science Program. We love our students and are excited about the learning opportunities we are able to offer them! Thanks for visiting us to learn about our program.

At Crossroads, we help young scientists learn about their world through discovery and active learning. Students attend specialist classes in science, engineering and technology to explore multiple science domains. In addition, Crossroads Science is a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) school. From the PLTW website, "Young learners are naturally wired for discovery. This curriculum is designed with activities that let them see what they can be and build skills to discover what they can do." Crossroads teachers see students as scientists and thinkers ready to explore their world.

Our science programming is in addition to the SPPS District curriculum. This includes Fountas and Pinnell for reading comprehension, UFLI Phonics for K-2 Foundational Skills, Heggerty and FIRE for 3-5 Foundational Skills and HMH Into Math for mathematics instruction. Our teachers work hard to differentiate instruction for learners at every level so that all students at Crossroads can achieve their fullest potential.
