My name is Terri Jarosch, and I am your school nurse. The kids here at Crossroads call me Nurse Terri. My nursing career began as a pediatric nurse at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, and I worked in a variety of settings on both the Minneapolis and St Paul campuses, including almost 5yrs as a pediatric emergency nurse on the St Paul campus. After 10yrs in pediatrics,  I moved to “big people” emergency nursing where I spent an additional 8 yrs before transitioning to School Nursing.

Being a School Nurse is fun!  And its definitely NOT all ice packs and band aids. I get to help kids learn about, and take control of chronic health needs such as asthma and diabetes. One of my responsibilities is to provide vision and hearing screenings. As a Public Health Nurse ,I  protect the health of the school community by promoting immunization compliance and monitoring for upticks in "bugs' like strep throat and the flu. I collaborate with  Crossroads staff to meet the needs of our students. My goal is to always look for opportunities to improve the health and well-being of all students here at Crossroads.
